Hi i am currently going to fit a 70cc bote kit to my ajs firefox 50 2018 . I wantvto get all the parts beforehand so its not of the road too long . There are 2 types of kit . One has a 10mm piston pin & the other has a 12mm piston pin but i cant find anywhere what mine is . Also i want to upgrade the carb jet 10% but unsure what my original mske and size my jet is . Do i have to strip tge engine and carb before i order these parts or can somebody tell me the piston pin size and main jet size from it being a 2018 model . I even asked ajs direct andctgey daid they dont know ???? Any help much appreciated
you best option is to take apart the carb. its only a few screws. there is a chance it wont say what size the jet is but most will say once you have unscrewd the jet. as for the piston pin im not too sure but would be good if you could send links to the parts
well there goes the warranty on that then. Order a spare wrist pin, if the one in the kit is 10mm, order a 12mm, and vice versa. As above for the carb jet.
