erm, its a TWO STROKE not a 4 stroke... more air DOESENT mena more power...

you admitted knowing nothign about tunning.. so leave the thing alone or it will go bang. simple really

I once modded my airbox by drilling 3 10mm holes in it in a cluster. Biggest mistake ever. It would die on WOT suggesting lean conditions...Really not worth it. Get a bigger carb man!

any mod to the airbox will do a couple things...
it will drop the pressure in the inlet tract meaning theres less vacumm to draw fuel through the carb
2 it will ease the progression of air into the airbox.. this sounds like a good thing yes? well its not. breath out and its hot, breath out through a narrow space in your lips and the air moves faster and more to the point COLDER sudgesting density and valocity has changed.

in short the same air wil be less dence and the jetting will have to be increased, this is usually a LOSS in performance. its not untill you literally cant jet a bike for an airbox you need to mod one/replace with a filter

it aint a car... and even then cars only get this mopd first because of the clueless writers of mags like max power that seem to think airflow is more important than inlet area and port diameter....

power costs money, drilling some holes in somthing or adding a filter WONT GIVE YOU POWER!!!!! how many times
