I have tried this air filter from Doppler, but its too restricted so I planning to buy a new on. What do you think about this filters? 1. There are two air cleaner elements. The used method of fabrication is the double layer method. The AirBox is not just for dampening the noise even more to calm down the air flow, which has an great impact for the proper working of the carb. The bgm AirBox has an inlet area of approx. 1500 mm2. This is perfect for carbs up to 28 mm diameter! Diameter 9 cm, overall length 24 cm. 2. 3. See page 12 http://www.sip-scootershop.com/upload/f ... 37_000.pdf 4. 5. A breath of fresh air for your Airbox with MALOSSI Air Bushings. Raises the air flow to your original part, making fine tuning easier with your carburetor. Drill hole in Airbox, slide in bushing and listen to your carburetor breathe! Set consists of 10 pieces. See page 4 http://www.sip-scootershop.com/upload/f ... 72_000.pdf 6. http://www.sip-scootershop.com/upload/f ... 22_000.pdf I have ordred all from 1-5, so I will test them through the spring season
i really dont think that little plsatic box will keep da noise down... and number 1 looks jokes haha least no one will rob that..... and number 3 is the sickest one!! malossi filter and sucks up good amount of air....
no3 will suck up the most amount of air...and dust...and water... and make a hell of a racket when you fire your bike up at 7 o clock in the morning going to work I had an open filter on my scoot for a few weeks but it made no difference to performance and i got tired of the unnecesary noise and constant fear of rain imp:
ive got number 4 on mine but in the matt black version ( didnt like the tacky chrome paint version like in the pic, its got a nice plastic cover on it and its fine in the terrenchal rain, but it makes ALOT, and I mean ALOT of noise... if youve got a close commnity they will soon get pissed off like they do round my neck of the woods when i come home 3 in the morning, I turn my bike off tho an push it now when I come home late standards are the best and the most quiet, been said many times before "racing" filters are pretty much all problems on a fairly stock ped or sport tuned one, unneccesary in theory, unless your running an extrem setup, Ive only got one though because I like the deep noise and it makes my bike sounds more aggressive against my mates peds my ped also drinks twice as much fuel now too
ye I suppose but I dont like the look of it, but ugly tbh, look a bit neater on mine and easier to tweak the carb
standard air box looks a bit naff though . :msn1: i use a k+n with filter oil does not mind the rain ,bit loud though but i love to annoy my f@@kwit neighbours :w00t: even got a striaght through exhaust on me mower for the same reason :w00t:
looll i was only jokin mate, you can have it... im helping him on his way to world domination, so get as many people to put him in their sigs(i need a life)
i have got the malossi e5 filter and i wouldnt recomend that becouse that sucks up the water on wet days
