Hey, I have an Air cooled piaggio engine, any ideas on how much it would cost to turn it into a fully functioning liquid cooled engine?
lol i wana do the opposite when i finally get a ped as think an air cooled lump is so much easier to work on and no leaks or pumps or rads to bother about plus the typhoon can run a 172 iv been told
Liquid cooled can be modified so much more, but the parts are more expensive. I so badly want to get this setup: Stage 6 Primary Gearing: £56.95 http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/513/stage6-primary-gearing--piaggiogilera Doppler race crankshaft: £86.80 http://www.donotlink-pedstop.co.uk/...rom_Doppler__Runner_NRG_SR_50_R_etc-3370.aspx Stage 6 Sport pro MKII 70cc: £96.97 http://www.pmtuning.co.uk/stage-6-70cc-sport-pro-cylinder-kit-piaggio-ac Stage 6 inlet manifold system: £40.80 http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/707/stage6-intake-inlet-manifold-system--piaggio-gilera-with-reeds Stage 6 21mm race carb: £69.95 http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/1120/stage6-dellorto-21mm-race-carb-black-edition Total parts cost: £351.47
i totally agree on both subjects, air cooled is easy to work with, but then again a bit of extra work means your bike could be faster liquid cooled beats air cooled ony day of the week, and tbh parts are hardly much more, but i always say you've got your 3 options.... cheap, reliable, fast.. pick two? if you want cheap and fast it wont be relible if you want reliable and fast it wont be cheap.. thats about it..
