Hi there im new to the site and new to peds, i have an MBK Nitro 50cc, i brought it for £300 with a race exhaust but when pulling off it takes forever to get past 30. Once past 35 you here an engine change and you feel it pick up speed quick(er).

I thought maybe 4gr to 4.5gr rollers and race clutch springs to give quick acceleration but what would you recomend?

Im actually really disheartend but havent got funds to do the 70cc kit.

Thanks for your time and help

roughly 4.5g - 6g rollers sounds okay. Jets you can buy from most scooter shop but it is best to buy a box set try: donotlink Ped Stop
While you're in there you might as well check the belt for wear and if needed replace it

Read both our roller guide and carb guide.

You don't just fit transmission parts to give you different performance characteristics. Your transmission is only setup to give you maximum performance out of whatever parts you have fitted.

If your bike has a sports exhaust on it already it should have had a larger main jet fitted, lighter rollers and stronger clutch springs. You may also want to check that your exhaust and transmission have been properly de-restricted.

I have replaced rollers and does pick up quicker, top end still shocking though down hill it goes off the clock but mate on his cg125 says he reads 45mph next to me.

I placed 5gr rollers and cleaned exhaust (the best i can) but i reccon ill just replace with a 70cc kit, (twin rings though as they last longer)

I dont mind top end as much just quick pull off.. I want to be up to 30 as quick as i can as its imbarrising at times lol

sporty variator ? like £40 for one will help, deffonately noticed difference alot from having a malossi multivar to then just having standard

also some clocks are really crap, mine are awfull, sometimes it shows me going like 55mph and my mate not that far behind and his shows 39 ? lol

when you pull your throlle is there any sluggishness ?, like high revs to low revs and build back up to high ?

have you checked your belt is not worn, and have you checked your rollers are not knackered ?

sorry for writing alot there, and terro or any one else who knows what they talking about please tell me if im talking a load of crap. ta ;)

my aerox has the same problem. Donts ages to get to 30 then u can just hear the engine change and then i get going abit.

This all happened when i put on my pm clutch , so im thinking of putting my standard 5.5g rollers back in to see what they might do
