Aftermarket halogen lights, much police trouble?

    Hi I was just wondering if people in the forum have any problems with their halogen light converstions? I take it as an obvious MOT no no but do you get much problems with them and are they any good at night for vis?

    halogen are better and wont fail an mot aslong as there hight ajustable and not coloured. need to obviously have all the light settings your original did (low full and high)

    How do they work with dip beam etc if the two bulbs just face straight, does it just go on a lower current or something?

    theres 2 bulbs if its a complete unit. otherwise replacing just the bulb for a halogen has 2 filiments so 3 wires on the back, an earth the full and the high beam. obviously theres a cup reflector between the two so the high beam points up and the low down, the light back reflects the light in the right direction
