bought a new aerox over the weekend, its had a fair bit done to it performance wise. it seems to be quite loud though, its got a hebo exhaust and a polini air filter. are either of them known as being pretty loud? or is something not working properly cheers
Also, the lad told me the jets on it currently are 80mm, iv got a 21mm carb off my old bike which i am going to put on my new bike. the 21mm carb has a standard air box, when i put the 21mm carb on my new bike, what will i have to do jetting wise? will the 80mm jets be ok? cheers
wow 80mm jet, bet you need a fuel tanker following you round (80 isnt the same as 80mm) as for jetting on the 21 start at 86 ish and work from there (90 with the open filter)
i thought 80mm sounded wierd, but thats what he said. what about keepin the standard air box on the 21 mm carb, or shall i put the polini one on it? cheers
the filter proberly makes it louder, so maybe once you have your 21mm carb on, and standard airbox, it will quiet down a bit. as i dont really think filters make much of a difference, more of a hassle absorbing water? (correct me if im wrong) if not, you could always try re packing you exhaust can, or tying a different can or somthing?
iv just finished swapping the exhausts, iv put a gianelli exhaust on now, i think it sounds a bit quiter and a bit better aswell. im gonna do the carb sometime in the week
