i was riding my ped home in the heavy rain few days ago an it bogged out an died round the corner. now i have triedusing electric start and kick an still nothinng so i have tried to keep it dry up until now an i recharged the battery incase that was it. still no luck. cratch: lights work ect but just wont start ALSO: when i use the elecky start it made a noise then it started to sound like it was dieing but trying to turn it over, if you no what i mean, like the sound kept getting quieter then stopped. now all it does is make a buzz sound from the battery compartment :huh: what o you lot think it could be ? cratch: think it might just need wiring to dry for a few days? or a fuelling issue? im absolutly gutted because its a mint ped when it runs... when its not raining :lol: all help appriciated asap thanks guys
That clicking sound is your starter solenoid, they're about 10 quid to buy but as MiNor said, your carb is probably full of water, unless you have an automatic choke that is broken now?
thanks soo much for the fast replys :cheers: my mates said its empty on here an ill never get a reply lol yeah i was going to drain the carb an clean it out ill check the plug for a spark too if the solinoid things dead would it still start from the kick
yep, should do... unless the relay is somehow seeping ALL the elcetricity back into the battery straight from the cdi (bad wiring) if the rest of the electrics work you can rule this out.. just disconnect the relay power in if your atall suspicious (big red from the battery directly to the relay) do the usual, spark, clean fuel delivery, no missing vac pipes and so on then get back to us. oh and go slap your so called m8.... "dead on here" cunt, im on here a GOOD few hours a day and try to reply to everything

:cheers: :yahoo: :clapping: :yahoo: sooooo happy left my ped in the sun kicked it and first kick an boom it was running i reallly love you guys for the quick replys it was a damp ht lead im guessing as i left that off to dry out any moisture so now it runs off the kick so guessing the buzzing is a faulty connection or a dodgy batter just buzzingthat its still running :yahoo: sooooo happy
this is why plug caps have rubber parts.. there only cheap. go buy another one and USE the 2 lil rubber bits that come in the box
ive got an ngk one on it an there useually good :/ elecky starter dont work though , recon its jammed? or the dodgy battery? might get a new battery incase
follow the power lead from the motor... remove it from the relay and put both wires straight to the battery. it will spin if its working. if it does work the relay is at fault.. or the switch.
