Hi swapped my ragged 52 plate aerox for a 06 rossi replica with a mate.

The rossi didnt spark , easy good new coil , fixed it :)

I only need the ped , 1 month max untill im old enough to ride my 125,so i thought well my bike was in a right state and my brother will buy the rossi as its half tidy ect.

The bike , has a been derstied , droppler varitor , yellow clutch springs, zx pipe ,pipe has had the cone cut out. Also has koso clocks i sodl him.BUT

The bike just reads 30mph, pulls ok i surpose used to my old 70cc ect.

But surly , 34mph sown a hill isint right

    cleaned carb
    filter
    exhaust is not clocked

The bike just doesnt really , well seem vevvy like most 50cc, seems like a 4 stroke just not any rev like a 2 stroke.Any way , dnt really want to spend to much as like i said only having it a few weeks.

Is it just a case, the koso are digtal and read correct ?

    Mileage?

Maybe its down on compression...for the little hassle/money involved you could replace the rings/head gaskets.

    Took the barrel of today

Piston , well it had seen alot better days. And the barrel had a few scores, put a nicer 50cc barrel i had kcicking about.

Fitted it , and the big feels clutch spring , problems, then kicks right in for 3 seconds , then slugs to slower than before!!!!!!.

    Rollers are lighters, not flat
    good oil
    plug nice colour
running a 72 main jet , is this to big ?

My mate reccons , that he put a better torsion spring ,and it made his bike do 30mph , then put the standerd and it did 60 ran fine. ?

Would it be, the same myn has a malssoi it looks torsion spring , is it worth putting the other one back on?

WHen the bike back wheel no load on the bike , the bikes screams like a 50 should. Then once well on the floor rides like a 4 stroke?.Engines is nice , no banging ect smooth

yes it sounds like its your torsion spring put the standard one back in and see how it goes, either that or your rollers are to heavy but as you said you have lighter ones in

But yea im hopeing its that , also it steams from the head, gaskets are fine , You know the studs on the new flywheel do they have to be on and in the water pump things, to make the water pump work ? thanks

Hi people please help , i am not like some people if you give me advise i will try.

TOday tokk tranny cover, off to discover a clutch spring , change the torsion spring for a standerd one and put the spring back in.

Went round the block on the bike even slower, then it would kick in but just sound like it was slipping.

So back to the shed i went, cleaned the belt , and now , if you pull away cold , the bike will pull like a train to 25mph, then just stop.

It even, went like a train to 38mph, then slowly the digtial clocks came down WTF.

    So its

    41mph max,
new piston , clutch done, and im getting 30mph if im lucky / DAM my aerox with a big bore kit wasnt this much hassle.

    NEED IDEAS please

if the piston is brand new it may just need a bit of wearing in, m y mates did it for abit then when it wore in it was back up to speed
