    56 plate rossi replica aerox,

im looking to upgrade a few parts...

parts at the minute: Leo vince ZX pipe, polini high speed variator, polini kevlar belt and 5,6g malossi rollers.

parts i want/going to get: Malossi cast-iron 70cc Cylinder Kit (everyday use-more durable)

i was just wondering what other parts i'll need to get the best performance out of it? take it ill need a 21mm carb? was also thinking a stage6 V-force aswell?

i've also got a stage6 full circle crank and a malossi clutch- should i fit both of them in conjunction with the 70's kit?

would this be a good/fast setup?

i've also got a few new polini contra springs should these be fitted...

im new to this, so any help will be highly appreciated

    cheers :)

    Re: Aerox performance setup- help

A 21mm carb will increase performance. Reedblocks do throttle response. I've got a couple for sale if you look in the for sale section.

It always is a good idea to fit an aftermarket crank when adding a 70cc kit but it isn't a must on a sport 70. It depends on the mileage. I personally feel that sport clutches on a sport kit don't really do a great deal but if you have one you might as well fit it.

Contra springs are a setup part so you should start by fitting one thats slightly stronger than stock and seeing how you get on.

Only thing is depending on the sort of roads you ride on it might be a good idea to get a gear up as well.

does a gear up increase the top speed because of the higher gear ratio? is it a must have for around a city driving? cheers

yeh im pretty sure your right, but in the process you loose quite a bit of bottem'end/acceleration so therefore you wouldn't want one for city roads, you'd want one if you use longer/country roads :)
correct me if im wrong anyone...

    As what aidanbean said.

You will lose bottom end even when correctly set up if you only have a sport 70cc kit which is why it is only really advisable if you are going to be going to be riding at higher speeds more often.

also thinking of getting a new pipe for this setup- a yasuni R, would this be the best? if so how much of a difference would this pipe make compared to a ZX?

Unless there is a good reason for it like your ZX is falling apart I wouldn't bother. Any difference wouldn't be worth the cost.

    aerox polini race 70
iv got an yamaha aerox 2001 with a polini sport 70cc bore with endy power 70cc pipe to back that up i then put in a doopler crank in and polini primary gear up kit.when i was waiting for that i then got a polini evo speed control kit and a pm tuning race clutch i then left it at that but was shocked to see that it wasnt muck better the my 50cc.so enuff was enuff i got a tnt 21mm carb a cheap one but never the less its a 21mm and it did help my bike but it still aint as quick as my mate typoon and all he has got is a 70cc bore on a standerd 50 engine iv jetted the carb to perfection and done the rollers so its a smooth pull all the way to top end and much clutch spings are really tight witch =good take off

What do you think is wrong my bike should be lifting on every rev

I think you should start your own thread, instead of posting in someone elses that is 2 months old.

your pipe sucks... piaggio engines are better than minareli engines and your gears are probably too long to make use of the shite power the pipe is letting the kit produce....

    fairly simple really :D
