    Hi

I think I should put this in here instead of Newbie Scooter Tuning like last time as I think it is more of a project.

I have stripped her down again and have taken pictures of her in the nude this time, doesn't she look beautiful :D

most of the dirt and grit:D was removed from the last strip down, so it has made it easier to get on with the job.

I have removed the exhaust pipe which I will sell on.

I have put the carb in paraffin to clean it and I await for a delivery of parts in the morning.

I did that last time whilst I was removing the jet to find out what size it is, turned out to be a 76

The parts I was waiting for yesterday did not arrive, and only one part of the order came today,

when I looked at what I got for 50 quid it made my eyes water,

I don't even know where it goes

I have the malossi multivar on my aerox, much much much better then the standard aerox's vairator!

To install take the original variator off and swap it for the new malossi one, there should be 3 spacers in the kit? i put the smallest one it to stop some vibration. The rollers for this variator are bigger then standard so if you need to change them make sure you buy the right size (16x13mm).

To put the contra spring in take the clutch off, this is easy with a clutch holding tool (if you dont have one buy one, mine holds the clutch and it doubles up as a spanner to get the clutch apart!)

Be careful doing this as they have a tendency of exploding outwards, use a clamp, stand on it or use 2 people and you should be okay, remove the old spring and put the new malossi one in. Put back together and your good to go! :)

Also i would recomend a bigger carb 17.5mm or 19mm as the standard Guntner Carbs are CRAP!

Have a look to see if the restrictor is in the start of the exhaust (end that goes onto the manifold)

Yes it is, it is like a funnel in the pipe held in place by a spot weld
