Hi i have recently bought a new stoplight for my 2007 aerox. And i have a problem. The stop light stays on.I turn the bike on and the light stays on which out me hitting the brakes.I have tryed all combinations with the three wires (black,Yellow,Red) but no success?i dnt think the stoplight i bought has any problems.Anything ideas what the problem may be?

This is the stoplight i bought.

Took the brake levelers off to make sure they were not put on too tight or wrong but still the same problem.

if you've got spare levers lying around try those on it... happened to me on the other ped, the lever wasn't pushing the sensor back out again as it wasn't heavy enough or summat, or possibly just change the sensors? only cost about 7-10 quid :)

yes but when i take the levelers completely off and start the bike the stop light is still on as if am braking even if i took the levelers off.

yea you can take the levers off, but the little black thing that the levers push onto, looks like something that'll go into a cigarette lighter in a car - theres a little white bit that should pop out... see if thats still poking out, and u can push it in, if not then u need a new one :)

if that don't work then its beyond me lol

Try unpluging the brake light switch wires the two very small spade conectors on the back of the brake light switches on both the front and rear
brakes .Then turn on your igniton make sure the two wires are not touching ,then you should have no brake light on ,then one at a time
touch the two conectors together ,as you touch them you should have a brake light,if you have then the wireing is OK ,then one at a time re-conect the wires back to the switch,if your brake light comes on when the lever is still on the bike and wont go off then that side is the side with the dodggy switch ,as others have said try spraying WD-40 on the switch and puush the small white pin in and out a few times ,if this dont work then its time for a new switc , should only be about £4 each
