got a new engine for aerox 100cc standard how long running in period? and is it just short bursts of power? and how long can i ride for at once?
didnt no u could buy brand new engines lol.... thought u only had to run in new parts eg crank, cylinder, bits like that
oh haha... erm well depends on what the cylinders made of mate.. Cast iron - 100 miles of gentle running in but the book that come with cast irons will tell you after 45min's or half throttle riding your bike is run in. Ali - can take upto 500 miles to run in Nickel plated cylinders- couple of heat cycles
Btw, when you run it in, its not about going slow, its about varying the revs and load on the engine. My aerox has a cast iron standard 50cc cylinder, and i just did 5x30 minute gentle runs, letting it cool down completely after each run. Use decent oil too
I copy n pasted it off the internet coz i couldnt remember the cycles for them lol... cast iron takes 200-300 iirc, ali, dunno why i didnt change that tbh, 500miles lol.. My bad
