Aerox running like a piece of sh*t

My aerox is running like shit latley it is spluttering constantly i have to give it full throttle for it to move because if i keep it at half it doesnt move and just splutters can you tell me whats wrong.

 

check your engine rollers and spark plug.

i have just fitted a iridium spark plug has done nothing and i will change my rollers but it shudnt be spluttering and hardly moving because of rollers to tell you the truth i think my 70 kit is fucked

 

Mine is running like a pile of shit atm loses power all the time

 

when you changed the spark plug did it run ok for a bit...and then gradually
go back to shit again???

if so its your mixture setting and or main jet!!!

 

na it didnt make a difference mate it just isnt smooth its like a 90 year old bike starting it up and riding it lol

 

did you gap the plug properly or just bung it in???

im useing an iridium plug....and mine came gapped pretty large

oh dear...youve never heard of gapping plugs :msn1:

find out what the correct gap is for an aerox...probably 0.5 to 0.7mm..
and check your gap...

youll need some feeler guages...you have heard of them surely

no i havnt i am a 16 year old lad who has an aerox y wud i no this mate and its 0.5mm gap mate

try your local car parts store or halfords...most places like that sell a set of feeler guages

 

ok mate but cud it be my standard cdi or anything like that and what is the box on my aerox that is next to the oil cos there are two leads hanging down

 

wt does it meen again if my spark plug is black at the end thanks

ok cos i was thinking of putting my e5 airfilter on my bike and i will need to upjet my bike so if its running rich will and airfilter be ok on my bike or will i need to upjet a little more

Il wait for someone elses opinion as open air filters are suposed to be worse on 2 strokes.

 

oh i thought they were ok if you had a 70 kit and they r shit on 50cc standard bikes ma mate put an e5 filter and upjetted and it boggeddown really bad
