well for those who dont know, i did a fucking stupid thing that im still painfully fucked off about... i basically rode up to meet some non-ped mates, let one have a go after half an hour of begging and the offer of £2 petrol money. 'ill be 3 minutes' 3/4 of an hour passed and he came back running with his hands fucked up saying he'd fell off it, the panels were 'fine' but the exhaust was loud. i then started walking the 3 miles to his house, got there and had a look 2 panels are completely fucked beyond beleif, another 2 are damaged quite badly, exhaust has one part completely flat, the doppler badge was ripped in half and the end can was scratched to fuck, i managed to turn it round so its just plain but doesnt look too bad i checked it all over, both exhaust bolts were loose? so i tightened them and it was still fucking loud, then took it off, gasket was ripped in half, put it back on and it was still loud, looked for cracks couldnt find any, found out it was because the exhaust manifold was like... bent. the face that meets the cylinder if ya see what i mean, so i filed that flat, made a gasket and stuck it back on... worked fine from then. the ped ran as per normal through loads of random rides that day, until later that night when i took it out, as i got to a dual carriageway it started getting louder... not too louder but loud all the same rode round for a bit then decided to take it in, tightened it and tried it, still blew, took it off and the gasket was ripped down the one side like the pressure had blown it out made a new gasket, refitted it, still blew a bit, i needed to pop upto the shops so rode it up there , halfway there it started acting up, wouldnt rev as normal or go over 40, eventually it just completely died, i got off, kick started it again it was like it had lost half the power and it died again today... sorted the exhaust again went for a run round, same thing happened, brought it back, topped coolant up, then noticed it was running low on oil, topped that up, then took it out again i rode it for 10 mins and it woudnt tick over but it never died like before... so i dont know, any ideas? worried that riding it with a blowing exhaust might have caused some damage sam
Well, The first place i would look is your carb, because sometimes they can become "pissed" and the petrol may not be getting through, I dont think a blowing exhaust has much problem except loss of some power and how loud it is... Anyway, you have learnt your lesson, never ever let anyone go near your ped :bird: lol
