Well, my mate bought an aerox about a month ago that dosent run properly.its now ended up in my garage with my dad working on it.for some reason it will only run on the choke and even the all u have to do is touch the throttle and the thing dies.without the choke on it wont even start.when we took apart the reeds they covered in oil and shit. the bike has these parts on it- polini CDI,malossi mhr rep 70kit,yazuni C21 pipe, lightened flywheel,17.5 carb and carbon reeds, to be honest i think it has soo much stuff onit thats will never run properly but if anyone has any ideas please reply or pm me thanks :banghead: :beg:
c21 is to revvy for a rep.... That's more evo terrotrory. You checked the jetting ? That carb is TOO small. Really need a 21mm.
it did have a 31mm carb on it which i took off because it was soooo big,i had a mhr rep kit before my x-tech i ran it on 17.5 and had no problems,to be honest i think the bike has too much shit on it
How can it have to much shit on it !! Put a 21 on there. I recon it's clutch/jetting/maybe rollers. the c21 is too revy in my opinion :/
its not transmission,ill try up jetting,u can gradually build the revs up but only to half throttle then it dies
i Had A Simliar Problem Wouldnt Run Till Warm, Then Still Bog Till It Sounded Liek It "Cleared Itself". i Would Personally Clean The Carb Out And Make Sure It Is Put Together Propperly.. 17.5 will be fine. You'll Have To Play With Jetting, And Change Airfilter/Box If Its Standard.. Or For Time Being, Take The Snorkel Out..
the carb is brand new and i cleaned it with petrol before i put it on, the carb had a 80 jet and i put a 105 init because thats what it used to run on and its a lot better, i re packed as it was a bit cloked but now it only runs for a little bit i think its not gettin fuel from the tank because it uses a vacume.probably gunna try and make it flo petrol constantly without the vacume atm its got a malossi air filter which i personally is shit so im gunna replace that with a k&n stle filter
The C21 is totally useless on a mhr rep. Complete waste of a good pipe. The 17.5 should run fine but will be a bit small for max performance. The main jet is only part of the jetting. Read and follow our carb guide for a full explanation on how to jet a carb and how it works. Are you actually leaving it to warm up? All bikes only start and run on the choke from cold and bog out until they warm up. That's normal for a tuned 2 stroke.
