Ready? No, not quite yet .. Some details need to be fixed How it looked when I bought it The goal is to get a great looking and fast scooter I'm not a pro but not a novice either.. How it looks right now The plans are that it will be ready in May Ordered a Malossi - (BIG Bore) 87cc A bit work to do to fit it into the engine block... Yes, I'm from Sweden so my English is far from perfect
I just put the engine block in the dishwasher I do not use detergent because it would discolor the aluminium I use citric acid No, my girlfriend is not at home
bloc engine in the dishwater! lol... He does look good though... not sure about the next run of dishes
Some polishing done, looks pretty good after the dishwasher (it´s a photobucket clip if you want to see me in action, "click" on the picture )
Exhaust - Malossi Big bore exhaust Variator and clutch - Malossi MHR overrange Thats the main parts. I have not decided what carburetor I will use... Thanks for your comments!
Checking with the gasket how much metal I need to remove I use a magicmarker I will use a scribe tool later
That's not too bad for the power you should be getting. Does the kit bolt on top without doing it though out of curiosity.
I thought you needed to use a different crank for the big bore engines... and needed to work the crank space in the bloc?... Do you have "standard size" cranks with appropriate conrods length for that type of engine?
I must bore the two crankcase halves to 76,5mm to accept the new crankshaft. This is a block a friend of mine did (you can see the work he has done in the bottom of the crankcase) I'm waiting for my carbide cutters so I can start work
That's what I thought. Looking forward to see the end result. Do you have the big evo pipe as well? What setup you are going for? Now that my main ped is done I am looking at my next project. Have an aerox lying so might go for a big evo as well however i think I ll wait for the S6 one.
I will use Malossi stuff throughout the entire project (pipe clutch variator carb) I think it will be easiest to do so.
A sneak preview whats going on I've been waiting for stuff in order to mill the block But im posting this clip so you know that the job is in progress Thank you for following my project!
