    Hi all,
took my new scoot for it's MOT today (by new scoot I mean just bought it but it's been lying for a few years)
Anyway, everything was perfect bar my front forks which failed so I'm on the look out for a set of forks or basically just a front end.
Checking on ebay and that but if anyone has a set give me a shout as I want to get it donw within the week so I don't have to pay the whole MOT again.
    Cheers

whats wrong with the forks? if its the seals then it would be cheaper to just get the seals done then get new forks

and if not then keep checking ebay as people break bikes all the time

    .

They told me the front seals were away but there's also the actual chrome parts of the shocks were it's pitted so they need replacing too.

The bike is a w reg, 2000 as far as I know

    UPDATE

The clamp part that the forks go into have surface corrosion and crap on them. Would it be worth replacing the whole unit or will new forks go in ok if I just brush down the clamp part?
ANy seals or anything in particular I need to check? I'll try and get a picture on today for opinion.

the clamp (or yoke as its called) is made of crap metal so will rust anyway, its fine to reuse aslong as its not rusted or pitted on the bearing race. brush it back and paint with hamerite

I just got Aerox forks, and had to blast and powdercoat the tubes and the "yoke". They were corroaded, but turned out looking good after refinishing. I am reusing the seals, just cause I can't find any here in the states.
