Hi all, I've removed the variator restrictor on an Aerox 50cc along with the Technics exhaust it will plod along at 45 ish. What I've noticed is a major flat spot about 25-30, worse still is the sudden drop off for what seems no reason at all. Symptoms Going along a country road doing 40, go down a slight dip I hit 45, up the other side the ped slows to 30, after that I can't get it over 35 on a level road until I come to a stop after that I can pull away to 45 no problems (apart from the flat spot) until the next dip/hill. I intend to drop the rollers down to 4.5grm (from the original 5.5) will this help with the flat spot? I was also thinking of uprating Contra spring to this one: http://beedspeed.com/automatic-variator ... cdec95635e and the clutch springs to these: http://beedspeed.com/automatic-clutch-s ... cdec95635e The last question (for the moment) is - what are the different colours/ sizes - stiffer for better pull up hills???? Thanks in advance for any info Ninja (Dad who knows bugger all about peds :emb: but with son who will no doubt complain about the poor performance of his ped compared to his mates' peds- so I'd best learn the basics asap) unk:
flat rollers by the sounds of things id go with the +15% contra spring and the 10% clutch springs as its standard if ure going to buy them ofc ben.
i have this problem sometimes with my area51, take the rollers out and check for flats, if they are still ok, lighter rollers should make it rev a bit better, the technigas i beleive does need fairly light rollers, if at lower speed the bike won't rev then you need stiffer clutch springs. shouldn't son be learning about how to maintain and get the optimum performance out of his scooter?
Hell no W_T he's wrecked 4 pushbikes by taking them apart and changing bits over, I can't afford for him to do the same on this ped so I've banned him from taking more than a screwdriver at it lol. Thanks for the advice. Ninja
