I was riding down the road and my bike started spluttering, I then had to stop at a junction and it just simply cut out, I then stripped the bike completely, everything was off I saw that the petals on the reed block had snapped once again. I spent hours getting the rest of it out the barrel and around the crank. I then bought new Polini Carbon petals, a new Pod Filter, Fitted those tried starting once it was all back on, then nothing. I tried for days at trying to get the bike to work and finally it worked, but one problem, when throttle was brought in once it was started nothing would happen and would just cut out. I then slowly opened throttle and it would just pick up revs from then on, I then let it tick over on its own and would cope, I then opened fully from nothing and it would work fine, took it to the end of the driveway and cut out, I was pissed off from then on. I got it working enough to get somewhere on it. Took it for a spin and it would only go if it was a little throttle and it then cut out and never started again. I have left it in the garage for 2 months and finally come back to getting it working. Now it only starts for a second, picks revs on its own for some strange reason and cuts out, and takes a long time to try get it to work again. I have spent a lot of money to try get it working, I researched on what the problem was and i couldn't find anything. I bought: Yasuni C16 Carrera Pipe New Suppressor Cap Head Studs Spark Plug I am wondering if its the stator which has gone, could anyone help?! Much appreciated Cheers!
have you checked the plug is wet after it cuts out? if it is soaking wet could be over fueling causing it not to run. is the air filter aftermaket one? could be throwing the jetting out
No i havent checked the plug is wet actually, never thought, and yes its a polini one, open air. Im running that air filter with a TNT Tuning 21mm Carb and a 90 jet. Thanks
Am i the only one who thinks a C16 on a 50cc aerox isnt right ? Unless its 70cc'd and you didnt tell us lol...
