    Hi,

    Does anyone have an old Aerox cylinder and cylinder head going spare?

    I'm going to fit a liquid cooled engine to my BWS 50 - i have the LC engine block but am missing the barrel and head and need one in order to judge sizes/fitment with my air cooled frame.

    The cylinder/head with be replaced with new items so condition is not important - it can be a 50cc or 70cc cylinder and head and could even be scored or whatever.

    Free or next to nothing would be preferred (i'll obviously cover postage)!

    Thanks.

    Dont really see why you need the cylinder and piston to align the block to your frame... ?...

    Well its not really for the alignment;

    Theres a cross member on the frame near where the vertical engine mount is (the bit where the 2 springs on the vertical mount sit against) which i think will be close to where the aerox head will be - i need the aerox head to check if it'll be fine when it all goes together or if i'll need to chop this bit off with a grinder.

    Need to do this first as i'm having the frame powdercoated again...

    did you get mounts soldered? They need to be quite long in order for the full block not to touch anything. It will sit further back than a vertical bloc. It wont hit the balancer though :p

    Ah no, its the Kiesler mount i'm going to try.

    I'm stripping the bike tomorrow down to the frame and will try a mock up using the Jog RR engine i have.

    If it fits great and doesn't put the frame at a weird/high angle i'll run it, if not i'll have mounts welded on or a custom mount made up.

    Actually if it jacks the rear up much higher than standard it might be a bonus...i'll be using the long Jog radiator which will need to sit under the bike unlike the aerox one so i'll need the clearance.

    Will update my project thread when i start :)

    I have a cylinder with a snapped exhaust port, free if you can pay postage :)
