(i have used the search but cant find anything pecific) Well first i have a yamaha aerox 08 and it had done 800km sumin nd its started to cut out when idling. Not only this but the acceleration, top speed and hill speed have all decreased and im unknown to why ? could this be a spark plug or a carb problem. (btw i have checked the comprestion of the engine and its fine) Please help
i have checked the spark plug and tried cleaning it but im not too sure how to no if the spark plug is fouled for the jets, no i havnt. But i asume the rollers are fine
take ur plug out and connect the ht lead backon it. then place the end of the spark plug on your frame and use the kick start and see if you have a strong spark. just be aware of the way that you do this so you dont get a shock. and the only way to see if you have a blocked jet is to dismantle your carb im affaid.
i hd just the same problem wiv my aerox few months back. i checked all the usuall stuff and ended up just tweakin the idle mix, havent had the problem since. sayin that i have no idea what caused it to begin wiv becus it was running fine for months with that idle setting
mine cut out in the wet when i first got it . put a bit of vaseline around the plug cap and its ran well ever since
i took the spark plug off and i could not see a spark but i could hear one (like on an electric cooker) And yeh it bogs down then cuts out but on full throtle it just has less power but wont cut out. i rang the people who i bought it from they sed cus its a new engine it just needs tuning and it could be the spark plug as well
wel i will try a spark plug first Do you think there could be another problems with my aerox other than this spark plug?
i would say jetting could be off, but this shouldnt be a problem on a stock bike. u got any tuning parts fitted?
you sure that click isnt the realy because they dont make a sound when they spark :wtf: take the spark plug out and wrap a peice of wire round the thread and ground it to the bike by wrapping the other end round the exhaust or something attach the ht lead and kickstart it, you should see a plug doubt its a sparkplug problem though, sounds like jetting , whats the colour of the plug ?
na no tuning parts on it, and i have just taken the "fucker" back today hah hopefully they will find the problem and fix it, if they tell me the problem i shall tell you. The colour of plug when i took it out was back on the groves around the top and sort of a really light lellow on that arm thing, sort of almost white
just to update everyone if they care, well it has been at the garage and was sposed to be done yesterday where the garage sed it had a carb problem and is not fixed yet. they phone again today and tell me they have not diagnosed the problem still arc: soo fucking annoyed!
