H everyone, my aerox had an air leak and the crank was about to go so I have split the cases and removed the crank. Whilst doing this, I found a small piece of tube going into the rear of the crankcase via a sort of 'nipple' (looks kinda like a bleed nipple but it's not a valve or anything, it's just a connector) The pipe that was connected was about 2 inches long and had been blocked off, but had a huge split in it. Pretty sure this was my air leak. Is there supposed to be a breather or was it part of the standard exhaust system? Maybe a recirculation system? It's got a sports pipe now. Thanks
Is it just above the rear brake area facing the wheel? If so you may be looking at the overflow/breather pipe for the transmission. All Minarellis have them. The pipe should not be blocked off.
Odd! None of the AC engines i've had has had one of those and i don't think my LC Jog engine has that. I'll be interested to find out too...
My mates brand new jog rr lc has no pipes coming off the standard exhaust, and chances are it doesn't have this bit on the crankcase. Kinda backs up my idea of it being an exhaust recirculation as my standard pipe has little pipes coming off it. Any chance you could check out your jog just to be sure? Would really appreciate it.
