Hi all sorry to keep pestering people with all my posts but i am honestly "getting there " ive inherited a bike with 11 previous owners so you can imagine thr problems.Ok done a compression test & only showing just under 100. I know variator is not 100% tight ( waiting on tool ) could this be cause or do i need new rings / piston etc etc regards david...
Just under 100psi isn't bad, around 120 is ideal, but it should still start and go at that. 11 previous owners..................not surprising really given that scooters change hands frequently due to kids getting their car licenses, or having bumps that put them off, or parents that just don't want them on a bike after their first spill.
Thankyou for your reply,yes apart from the 11 owners it has a jog r AC engine in it ,all the wiring was wrong & its amazing to see every owner has added their own liitle shortcuts.Bike was an absolute wreck when i got it but its nearly finished now thank god
