It will if the engine has the oomph to pull it. I have an Ovetto (Neos) with a very modest top perf 50 (pig iron) here - my girlfriend's - and it has a gear kit. Works wonderfully and no one can understand why they get left for dead by a girl when they top out at 80 kph........
With a pipe - yes. But not the new ones. The exhaust port is awful (and the old one wasn't great anyway). You either need to dremel it to the right shape & about 2 mm higher - or get yourself another cylinder.
