need some help with my bike, as it is atm it will pull off all slow not revving much atall will hit powerband at like 10mph or so scream its nuts off til about 20mph and just go nuurrr and not rev and go slow as sh*t ive messed with the roller weights and some other bits and just cant seem to get it to run right its got a gianelli extra exhaust, polini 4g rollers, top performances torque spring +30%, and upjetted to a 92 from the standard 86 and its got 12mm dellorto carb with manual choke ive tried it with other stregnth torque springs and lighter rollers and ive had both standard and the 92 jet in with the circlip on the needle in every position and it still does the same with little difference in the performance, anyone know what it could be?
dude..you have a carb installed and no kit?? it really should be downjetted anyway i dont think thats your problem..check if your clutch is ok and not damaged and what variator do you have?? is your belt ok?? is the variator ok?? cause with all these things you have if you are using a stock variator then maybe thats your problem.. the carb's mixture is set correctly?? check these and if it doesnt help..then you probably should go to an engineer..
its a standard carb 12mm lol i was just stating the setup and the belt is relativly new didnt make much difference ive been thinking its just the stock variator is a piece of sh*t anyway, need a new one, anyone rate polini hi-speed?
sounds like a fuelling problem to me, what colour is your spark plug? black is too rich, white is too lean. you should be looking for a coffee colour on the electrode. you don`t need to go to an engineer just yet, get your jetting right first and then look at mechanicals. rule of thumb - do one thing at a time, then if you get it wrong you know what you`ve done cheers from dan
ooh the carb is stock..sorry for that i got confused anyway youngdan is right check your spark plug and if theres nothing wrong there then check your clutch and variator maybe they're fucked up..
My aerox has a doppler sport 50 cylinder and doppler s3r exhaust which obviously needs upjetting way more than your setup and i run a 90 jet from my standard 86. Thats way to rich, mines running on the rich side as it is so i would advise an 88 and to be honest not sure it would even need upjetting. Im no expert but going on my setup and comparing the porting on my cylinder compared to the standard cylinder, mine is much improved so its running rich for sure.
