Just had a new 50cc malossi engine fitted it revs extremly high ... I have a problem i find it accelrates really well it wheelies when i have just started it but after running for a few minutes it will accelerate really slugish with no power at all ? I was just wondering if anyone knew why this could be ? Thanks.

im not sure why but i find mine pulls away alot faster when its just been started too.
    check rollers,jetting,cluch ware,dirt spark ect i guess

yours could be you rollers making it go slow after accseleration, or a crankshaft problem if it judders that much

ok someone told me it could be to do with the belt being tight when cold (hense jsut started) then after running the belt gets warm strenching so it wont grip asmuch in a sense this makes complete sense ? right ?

if it goes well when stone cold but the performance tails off as it gets hotter, then its probably running way rich...

an engine needs a richer mixture when cold, which is why you have a choke ;)

if its not over jetted, then the next thing to investigate is the choke....it may be stuck on...

check your exhasut is nto cracked? as it heats up it may expand and the crack may let out more exhaust gas, although this would be noticeable and woulnt affect it this much ,just a guess

i think mine must be the running to rich problem as just before i left to pick up the bike from the garage they said they would swap the sports filter back to the stnadered and in about 2minutes they wouldnt of re jetted it

To be honest i think its your choke or jets,

It runs fine at first because the engine is cold and it needs the fuel from the choke
once its warm it no loner needs the fuel in your case it sounds like choke isnt turning off, so its over fueling when warm.

Or if your jets are too bi same reason as above
    Pretty much what dave said

mine did something similar and it turned out it was the clutch and the rollers. Springs in the clutch to soft, and rollers where flat as fuck. If i was you i would check this before you buy anymore parts you don't need.
