Hi, so i bought a Stage6 Cylinder Kit *Streetrace* 70cc - Aerox/ Minarelli L/C , and i want to know how long do i have to ride it in, whats the top speed i can go, or can i full throttle it sometimes ,but not hold it for long. Also i dont know if all aerox's have that but, my throttle seems really short compared to other peds :/ and when i do 1/4 throttle it goes really slow and barely wants to move. i have to do 2/4-3/4 tthrottle for it to start riding properly, so isit just my bike, or other's aswell ? Also what else would you recommend i get to give it abit more power? Here's some info about the borekit on the site i bought it off. With the Stage 6 70cc Streetrace grey cast iron cylinder series, Stage6 offer a bargain version of the popular SportPro Aluminium cylinder. The cylinder is stamped 49cc.
Hi just wanted to say that a 17.5 mm carb is pretty much the minimum for a 70 cc kit - and that you will need to replace the standard throttle cable (if you haven't already) - because it's a 2 piece cable as standard and it doesn't have enough travel to open a 17 mm carb fully. The standard twist grip will work fine. Run it in (no more than 30 mph) for 200 miles or as long as you can bear it. No full throttle & no two-up riding. Good luck -
I just realized what i posted and i wasnt very helpful at all, sorry. Btw i did have a aerox years back and i used to think my throttle was quite short compared to other scooters, i hope that helps at least
the throttles are short im not sure why, i ran in my streetrace for about 300 miles at 1/2 throttle, pull of is shit and youll get a shit load of impatient drivers behind you but its worth it
