hi all, desperate for some tech help-been without my ride for 3 weeks now and back on my mb :banghead: ,08 aerox, basically left me stranded twice.kit has done about 1500,was professionally fitted, carefully run in,always puto scooter plus synthetic, always run superbly-never abused.

1st time, revved its nuts off of its own accord- even after turning the key off, then smelt really hot and died.pulled apart, piston good, barrel good, coolant low but no obvious leaks, pump good but temp sender kinda melted.faced up and new gaskets, everything checked, new sender etc.ran for 2 days fine.

2nd time, just died and water pissed out and a noise as if rad hose had popped off and was flapping about inside front cowl, almost as if the cooling system had pressurised.funny thing was when new sender was fitted the temp light came on  skint help pleeeese.tia.

Sounds like the head gasket wasent fitted correctly and has blown, this would cause the engine to rev by itself (airleak), and will be the cause of water pissing out (thats if your rad hoses havent popped off)

thanks for the reply,i have ordered another malossi gasket kit, lets hope its that.weird that after the first breakdown the temp sender had got hot and melted a bit but as soon as i fitted the new one the temp light was on(pre second breakdown)cheers for anymore input.will try another carfully fitted head gasket.

TBH if you had a shop fit the kit and the bike runs shit and leaks water from the head... Then you already know what to do?
