    Hi guys! I have an Yamaha Aerox L.C, in the process of restoration and I purchased some small upgrades too,but unfortunately they kinda give me some headaches because I keep getting problems with one or another and kant finish my restauration process.

    The scooter has the specs below.I wrote almost all of them,hoping that it will help if I do this to get some helpfull advices:
    - Stage 6 Pro Replica exhaust;
    - 17.5 Dellorto PHBN carburetor with manual chock;
    - SKF-C4 crank bearings;
    - brand new Minarelli stock crankshaft,oil seals and cilinder kit;
    - stock,new reed-valve;
    - stock new air filter;
    -Top Performance variator;
    - stock clutch in perfect condition;
    - new water pump kit from Motoforce;
    - the little 3 springs from the clutch are yellow, and the great one,in the center is white.
    -Malossi Kevlar transmission belt.

    Basically the whole engine has been completely rebuilt,hoping that it will work as it should do after all the money I put in this restauration proces,but it does not and it makes me go crazy :((.
    The bearings,crankshaft and cilinder kit were fitted at a special service, so there is no question of incorrect mounting!
    What I want to know is what carburetor main Jet and secondary jet sizes are recommended to be used for the scooter with the specs above to function ok...
    Please do not forget that I have an stock cilinder kit, stage 6 pro replica exhaust,17.5 carburetor,stock air filter.
    The carburator has the main jet measuring 53, and the secondary one measuring 34,but the scooter dont function ok.managed to make it to sit at idle, but if try to accelerate it stops and I dont know what to do to fix this problem.someone told me to change the jets,but I dont know what sizes to use with my specs.
    what jet sizes do you guys think I should use with the stock cylinder in the 17.5 carburetor?
    and another small qestion:how do I adjust the carburator idle and air(how many turns for the idle and air screws?).
    Thank you for any help you kould give to me and please excuse the grammar mistakes,english is not my native language.

    Hi , I have the same carb and it's been a bit of hassle , but here are my settings and it runs just fine:
    - main jet = 74 .
    - idle jet = stock one from the carb, dunno exactly the size as it does not show there.
    I do however have the original airbox mounted aswell and I found out that tempering with it , causes the engine to bog and die when accelerating.
    Deffo get a bigger main jet. I would say to go for the same 74, but your better of getting a set from ~70-100.
    The idle air mixture screw is around 2 and 1/2 turns from fully turned in. That's a good starting point. Then check the exhaust smoke. Too much smoke --> too little air on idle ( mixture rich , lean it a bit).
    If I were you , I'd get a bigger jet and start from there and after a couple of hours, you should get it running pretty good.
    Just as a main thing, the whole air/mixture thing that the carb does, is very important to the engine, get it too lean and you can damage the engine, get it to rich , poor performance. Also make sure to check if all your gaskets from the intake, and exhaust are firmly in place and you do not have any leaks.
    Hope it helps. Take care.

    thank you very much!a friend told me to use a main jet measuring 86.this way i managed to start the engine,but i had to put a little gasoine on the piston head to start it for the first time.i have succeded to start the engine that way.hope it will run ok now.

    no mention whatsoever to transmission setup... roller weight is more crutial, stick a bigger than needed jet in there, get the roller weight right, then get the jet sorted :) it SEEMS like jetting, but its really not, trust me
