aerox 100 trouble

hey all this is gona be my first post since joinin this forum bout 30 seconds ago , anyway my aerox has suddenly stopped workin , first of all it was the petrol filter clogged with dirt from the fuel tank so i replaced that and it worked for about half an hour before ccutting out and now it wont even start , i thought the carb mite b blocked to so i checked that but it seems clean , there is compression and a spark but i hav no idea y it wont start , any help will b much apreciated , cheers

hi alex-1966,double check the carb,whip the jets out and clean them,flush tank,lines,check vacumn,is the float in carb sticking? cheers

get an aerox 50 slap a polini sport kit in it and youd be going faster than an aerox 100 anyway unk:

cheers for all the help mate , i think it might be water in the fuel tank its the only other thing i could think of , hoddys hoddesdon , its in hertfordshire

 

doubt it , more cc's = more speed , the acceleration on a 100 wld b much better anyway

i tell you what, have a ride on an polini evo 70, then an aerox 100


then come and tell me an aerox 100 is faster.

yeh you probaly could make it faster if you had all that money to spend , but whack on a 70 kit wuithout changing gear ratios carb size etc then its not gona make a massive difference

 

mate im telling you a friend of mine owns an aerox 100 with a zx and is SMOKED by a bog standard jog r with a gear up

 

I raced an 02 100 rox with an sports pipe on it and showed it the ropes with my standard rox with a leovince pipe

my brother had a 100 and he says after having a go on mine he regrets having one

why dont you just let people try and help the guy, we all no they ent too good but he has a problem so help him.....

1. dec-rossi - you put a 2 extreme cylinder and a 33% gear up on your ped, so you dont really no whats going on do you !???!?

and.....

2. Crana - your old exhaust fell off (not enough blue-tac) and so bought a leo tt.......

 

Replace the plug for starter's, drain the petrol tank and refill with fesh petrol take the carb off and clean inside and outside with cab cleaner including the main jet/pilot jet etc

 

Your point being? It was chewing cum so get your facts right im poor no blue-tac for me

anyways lets get back on topic, he's asked for help so let's give it...

 

this should cover it really, but whilst your checking give a once over on all fuel, oil and vacuum lines and also inlet manifold for any splits

if still no luck then report back to us

 

ok fair enough i int helping, sorry dude and jus for the record the 2extreme kit went on after the gear up and i bought it in an emergency with not much funds
