Since finding your forum, I suspect that I may be a regular visitor. I am rebuilding a 1998 50cc Peugeot Squab which I bought new for my three kids when they each reached 16. Eldest son decided to take it to Plymouth when in the Navy to get to and from the Dockyard on. Never rode it and left it in a garden for 5 years before I could get it back in a sorry state. Every job becomes five !!! I have a leak /seeping of 2 stroke oil coming from the block where the oil pump sits. doesn't seem to make sense to me, photo attached. Any ideas would be appreciated. Dave
It could be the pump at fault, or just 2t oil unburt in the crankcase. I can't remember if the pump drive is inside of crank seal or outside ! It isn't a major problem.
It's not the pump, I fitted a new one, I did initially think it was faulty but have had it hanging over a drip tray for a while and it is sound, it is just the seeping oil which caused concern, it seems not to want to stop !!
