advice please .... kickstart spring???

Evening all imp:

i have the chance of buying a benelli k2 100 , firstly how are these peds, reliable etc???

its got no mot , but to get it through the mot it needs a new spring on the kickstart , is this an expensive job and isit easy to do?

the kickstart spring is a very fiddly job doesn't really require much knowledge tho

and the bike isn't really all that good, uses the same engine as the aerox 100cc. would be cheaper on insurance etc if you got a 50 and wacked a 70kit on it for about the same power output if not more

 

does a kickstart spring actualy matter when it comes to passing an mot?

 

supose it does, if your battery died and you needed to start the bike? unsure though as the DI-tech hasnt got one,

i thought MOT went by lights, tyres, bearings, brakes and unsecure panels and fuel pipes

 

hard job to do well not hard just annoying and takes a few tries
i shouldnt think you would need it for an mot

 

probably another one of those people that have a bike that wont go through mot so they make an excuse why check the bike out make sure you check all the mot failures if its all good by all means buy it if not leave it tbh though id just go for a 50 (if your 16)or 125 (if your 17+)

i decided to leave the bike afterall , but have brought an

D reg MZ ETZ 125 bike unk:

should be alot better than the 50cc zip i currently ride lol

 

its better then the 100 lol i personaly am not keen on the old style geared bikes but each to their own im sure it will be alot of fun
gona do anything to it?

dno what you can do to it tbh lol bigger carb may b? dont have a clue tbh but get some pics up wen u get it..im getting curious

now i just need to decide what colour id like it :rofl:

might be getting it sunday eve rather than thurs.

 

I like the MZs, did you get it out of biketrader? I was looking at one, a black one afew weeks back. Makes a change to all the jap bikes.
