hi guys and girls, i would like to know if up-jetting the carb on a 50cc would result in poor miles per gallon, just curious ,also which way is it to lean / richen the air mixture ? : cratch: thanks guys  any help appriachated
its got a sports pipe on it atm...dont you have to up jet to run a sports pipe ? cratch: i dindnt put the pipe on it btw
well how do you know it hasn't already been upjetted if a shop fitted that they'd upjet (unless they're complete tosspots), find the standard jet size for your bike check your own if it matches. of course if you already had the bike like that and it's been running then you could always check the plug see if it's running lean
thatnks for your help here dude how do i know if the bike has been running lean, i have removed the spark plug and it black, like it had been running rich, it was not covered in oil i have a new plug here now...the standard jet size is 60 the jet size that was in the bike was 85 do i have to run the upgraded jet size ? cratch: highly confused hereee would running the 85 jet de-crease fuel consumption
yh the bikes running way to rich if it's blackened the plug best bet is to go 10% (someone correct me if i'm wrong) up on the original jet size for just a sports pipe so if it's a 60 then you'll want a pack of jets containing sizes around that to experiment with but go for a 66 to start with and adjust as required. And yes it will increase fuel consumption running rich
85 will be too big for sure. standard jet size o n my rox was 62. after fitting a sports pipe i upjetted by 10 percent to 68 and it ran pretty much spot on. if its black its too rich. like matey boy said try around a 66.
