Advice on cleaning engine

Ok I've read a few posts about cleaning an engine, some people have said to use a wire brush, degreaser or a poly abrasive wheel on a slow speed drill.

I've wire brushed the engine and it's looking a bit better. Would it be a benefit to go over after with an abrasive disc? If so what one?

My aim is to get the case looking shiny however i do not want to get it chrome dipped. I am prepared to spend the time on cleaning the engine.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Get it stripped completely and get it vapor blasted, it will look like new!
