    Hey buds,

Im seeking a little advise. Aroubd 2 months ago I owned a Sppedfight 2. I loved it was so confident whilst driving. Unfortunately I came if it. I was going around a right bend and flew of. Ive recently bought my self an SR. I find myself struggling to bad to turn right bends. The worst are roundabouts. Its like ive forgotten how to turn! Before I would fly around these corners. Now its a challege. Do any of you have similar story's or advice?

    Thanks pals drive safe.

You have to learn to trust yourself again. Have faith in your tyres, your bike and your ability. Falling off is an occupational hazard with two wheels. And anyone who says they have never come off is either extremely super lucky, or a bloody liar.

had a few offs myself. yes its made me more cautious but as steve has said, have faith in your tyres, the bike and yourself. we fall off, it happens. when we come off, it teaches us not to do certain things next time.
get back on and have more faith in yourself, youll be shaky on right hand bends for a while after youve come off but youll soon get used to it again :)

I got knocked off just before Christmas, it has'nt stopped me riding and never will, I did learn a valuable lesson which I've learnt from. The SR is very different to the speedshite in it's handling, (tyres and tyre pressures etc) it maybe just that. You can ride so just get out there and enjoy, although the weather is crap, you'll get into the groove real soon!

its not the best time of year to try and trust the tyres. The road surface is always wet and greasy during winter...it doesnt give confidence!

Try an off road bike like a crosser and get used to the rear end breaking away at will. The instability will get you used to road bikes moving around and it'll help you not freak out when it does.

Confidence will return as the weather improves and the roads dry up

Get rid of the memory of hacking it round the corner like you used to,that's what's putting you off.,
You're having a live an learn moment, take it slow then build up to it again.,
    I've come off a few times,always a bit pensive afters,like few.some b.....s looking after me,
but in time, you'll build you're skill set/confidence,etc.,back up again,
though time for that happening can depend on the severity of the off, could have been just a spill.but if it comes outta the blue/just as worse than a biggie,
don't force the issue, some things take time-
being confident on your ride is'nt a race, just down to a bit of realistic commonsense.

Worth getting a mate to check the bike by riding it, make sure it is you and not the bike itself. Or ride another bike and see if you still feel the same.

My current VT 500 simply doesn't do right hand bends too good at the moment. I suspect the suspension, (forks or shocks or both) seen it before. Could also be a bent frame. I have to slow it right down to walking pace, yet it will fly around left handers no problem.

I respect it could be the accident too, perhaps a mixture of both. I've seriously lost count of the accidents I've had and some were not just offs but big scary accidents and it can have long lasting affects which are only cured by being back out there. Some of them still haunt my riding and I'll occasionally find myself backing off, but in all it's probably safer than repeating my past experiences!

But I'm just that little suspicious you might actually have a fault on the bike adding to the difficult right turns. Tyres could do it too for sure.

If you are nervous after an accident, even a minor fault could make you feel like your about to repeat the experience all over and then you start to tense your whole body preventing yourself turning. Getting your weight forward might help with this sensation also as you'll feel more committed to leaning.

So, check the bike, get weight forward and try to relax. See how that works.

The bike has just been MOTd buddy so I assume the bike must be stable. Its like you said I feel like I have to go so slow around right bends went out today and done roundabout s ovet and over. Slowly building my confidence back. Strange thing is on my mates cbr600 I can handle the right bends. Its the scooters that scare me lol. I know its strange

totally understandable, i have to go past where i had a pretty bad crash last year every single day to get to work, ive done the commute on both geared and scooter and at that exact spot it always shits me up on a scooter only, i can take the corner just before and just after there fine and i can full throttle it through there on a geared bike but when im on a scooter im slow as fuck, dont like to lean in on the corners, dont like overtaking parked cars when theres a car coming, get out more, ride more on your scooter, thats all that can really help you. get the bike checked over or ridden by a friend as gemma suggested. it might be weird to you but fine to someone else but if its weird on a right corner to someone else, then somethings up. you can mot a scooter or bike and it can still have handling issues or a bent frame, the MOT place dont really check for bent frame etc do they.

MOT wouldn't pick up a handling fault, there is no riding component of the MOT!

I've never seen an MOT inspector ride a bike as part of the MOT (other than to move it to the inspection area), depends I guess where you take it. We use to do test rides on bikes for pre-mot when I worked in the trade and for sure I could sometimes feel faults that wouldn't be a fail so left it to the owners discretion as to whether it got sorted or not.

Still the main thing is OP is feeling happier now :)
