Alright SS, need a bit of advice/ your knowledge. Went on a ride the other day on my X8R, and about half way through the ride my acceleration went really poor, to the point where I could walk with it at full throttle for about 3-5 seconds then it would kick in and go to the same top end as usual??

My setup has not changed at all and the acceleration with exactly the same setup was excellent before, it has just suddenly happened, so it's definitely something failing mechanically. Bear in mind it only happens when going from 0mph so when the bikes had to stop.

Could it be the belt slipping, if so what can I do? I'd expect it to be something related to transmission but I cant see what would have gone wrong really as nothings changed!

    Cheers

id still check them, they could have moved and worn irregularly.

give your carb a clean out. could be some shit stuck in there blocking the fuel. and ye check the rollers i had a set of pm ones and they went in one week. what make rollers you using the mallosi n polini ones seem most durable

I've got Malossi rollers in there, came with the vario. I'll check out the carb aswell tonight but it's also a fairly new carb (a month or two), although I suppose the possibility of blocked jets etc could happen at any point really.
