Hi Im new here i have a malaguti f15 firefox but i have a problem with it. from 30 to 40kmh there is a flat spot where i get very little acceleration. when it gets to 40kmh it accelerates very strong. the scooter has been de restricted and has a racing exhaust and jets to sute. do you lot know what the problem is? cheers matt
My NRG used to do this with standard variator and rollers. Put fresh rollers in at a lower weight and it was miles better
it is kph you mean, not mph right? Either way minerelli stock transmissions are crap, i'd get a new variator then experiment with roller weights (check out aerox's with similar spec for ideas) Clutch springs need changing too. What pipe you running?
what pipe am i running? ahhh some crap one. it came with the bike i think its this http://motorcycleproducts.co.uk/catalog ... 24718.html it works quite well but it could be better.
Well i guess if you want to leave the bike near stock, thats okay, but if you start getting ideas then it would be better to get something to match the tune
aye i know i quite like the look of a few of these non street legal ones. but i think they might be abit risky its a good exhaust the scooters been de restricted and with that exhaust on i can get ab out 83kph donw hill lol iv got a suspicion that it is restricted somewhere else. because it bounces off something at 72kph but you can go past it to about 80 then when you slow down and get to 72 ish it kicks in again im looking into getting a 70cc kit
check out Swifts exhaust barrel matching guide for ideas, personally i'd get a malossi MHR Replica on a yasuni city 16 (derestricted of course) and a 21mm carb, then uprate things as you see fit afterwards, would be a mental Malaguti or one fiery fox
hahaha you mucky man id love this bike to be mad! im sick of lads in saxos and golfs trying to race me! im like its a scooter im not going to be able to keep up. id love to see there faces when i boot past them! whats this? is it like an online manual? have you got a link to it if it is? i like my exhaust me its nice not silly loud and it doesnt sound like a wet fart lol but..... the time will come when i need to change it to get more wild powers 21mm carb i like the idea of that but there quite expensive! would be nice like.
there 50 quid mate, TOPS if you int gonna splash out, leave your bike stock itll only fuck up as you wont be able to tune it properly and set it up correctly, and wont be able to fix it in the long run with no cash when it fucks up (which it will garunteed), trust me ive been there. trying to tune a ped with no money does NOT work.
Dude Dec Rosi hit the nail on the head, my personal (and the correct really) way of doing things will be to save up all the money for everything THEN go and make my bonzai Booster, can't go about bolting parts on at random cause it will not work. The guides link is here... http://www.scootershack.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2948 Hope this helps
i work im on weekly pay so il always have cash coming in i get a lift off my dad so i dont ride the ped there i thaught they were like £70+
im not going to go around bolting stuff on as soon as i get it i said in that messege im going buy things every week. not bolt them straight on lol thats silly il keep everything in my celler or something untill i get everything i need then bolt it onto the ped,
Yeah get a plan of everything you'll want and stick to it, could always just rip a good aerox's spec sheet and fit everything off it onto yours no names mentioned Would work a treat.
OOOOOO sounds like a plan! il have a look at your project thread more in detail, im off home now il get them photos taken tonight. pm me.
IF ur going to tune it, just buy a polini sport, decent vari/belt/rollers, and a 17.5 or a 21 if urs is a 12mm standard. then ull have a reliable bike plus u wont have to change the crank, which would be a BIG job for u, its just not worth it in ur case and ull be more than happy with a sport set up
I personally wouldn't touch a crank cause if you fuck that up, the whole bike could be wrecked, hence why thats all i'm gonna have fitted (50 quid fitting ain't bad tbh), and a sports setup is good for pocket money fun too especially if there isn't a big tuning scene locally
oooo! just had a look on the net and it doesnt look like it will cost much to get all the parts. think the exhaust is the most expensive part iv got a exhaust on mine now do you think it would work okay with this? http://motorcycleproducts.co.uk/catalog ... 24718.html or not?
