Hi guys I am in desperate need of a COMPLETE & RUNNING Aircooled rolling nut engine 125/172cc 2T, for my skipper to replace the non-rebuildable 1993 engine currently in the scoot.

I have no money untill around feb 2011, BUT I would be willing to swap my Gilera DNA 125 for a complete & running engine in good condition! (see details of my DNA in the forsale section)

Whats missing from the engine mate? Is it a newer type that can be fully rebuilt?

yer its non rolling nut one though out of a 2000 sr. it has a crank but i cant guarentee the bearings arent dead the engine ran perfect for ever as a standard 125. should think the bearings are ok as well doused them in oil but that was a year or more a go

its got crank top end, its got a clutch. not sure on a varo may have one. it has oil pump and everything. im pretty sure it has a startor motor and hugger as well. it does have brake shoes but these were for a 13 inch wheel

needs stator i think will double check. i think i have a fan and maybe all the cowlings as well

basically needs a few bits but needs building up. only major job is fitting bushes where the sr bearings were and obviousely only 1 exhaust lug

Oh ok so is it a rear disc brake? My skipper is a rear drum brake with 10 inch wheels, so my rear wheel wouldnt fit without switching hubs right?

And will this engine bolt straight into my skipper too? (typhoon 125 frame)

Maybe we could come to some agreement, possibly a little bit of cash my way.. Not sure tho as I wanted a pretty much complete engine to swap for my dna. Still may consider it, just depends how much mucking about its gonna take to get the motor running in my skipper.

no its a rear drum brake. the shoes are for a sr so just swap your ones over, like i saiid in the text i can build one but i need a little time. dont see why not i fitted a typhoon engine in the sr this engine came out of

I havent received a text mate, probably delayed or something..

But if you could build up the engine so it will pretty much bolt in and go (dnt worry about drum shoes tho, I will use my skipper ones), I will gladly straight swap my dna for the engine.

If we come to an agreement on this I will save the dna for you. :D
