    Hi all,

I got the following advisory items on my MOT, any ideas on a rough cost for parts/what it is? :)

Front Suspension has a slightly reduced damping effect (suspension sort of sticks slightly when fully extended)

Steering Headbearing has slight free play (he said he wasn't 100% where it was coming from)

Rear Shock Absorber has a light misting

Rear Shock Absorber has a slightly reduced damping effect

He also said something about the swing arm being loose, but wasn't put on advisory notice!

    1. firstly the forks may need new seals and oil, or a rebuild due to worn dampers (nylon stoppers to stop the forks knocking when there extended)
    2. it probs needs new head race bearings, which isn't really a big job tbh
    3. i'd advise to replace the rear shock as i dont hear of many people bothering rebuilding them
    4. loose swingarm, it probs needs need engine mounts, bushes as they are more than likely damaged from your accident

    hope this helps mate :D

    1.The front forks don't knock.
2.Head Race Bearings? Just pick up from local shop I assume?
3.He didn't say which side, so thats 2 new rear shocks :(
4.They advised me of this @ MOT time (November :p) - I have heard you can tighten them possibly otherwise its a big job :(
    Thanks :)

well the front forks shouldnt knock, because of these lil nylon dampers, but if there worn then they can stick. Tbh it probably needs fresh seals and oil.

you can get sum nice aftermarket rear shocks for the 4strokers and there often on ebay

the engine mounts isnt a big job really just loosen engine, drop it out then replace the bushes
