well after some discussion with some experts with the NSR, it turns out that my nsr isnt an NSR model infact its something like an NS 125 RK, TC01 model

which is supposed to be the earliest type of NSR available, right so the problem Ive got is that my barrel is no longer made anymore, Honda only make the newer powervalve type of barrels

so I thought I mayswell get my barrel rebored, seen as it is working

anyone think this will be a good idea? and where can I get this work done will it need to go to an specialist engineer or just a normal bike shop?

    feck sake. :(

well it turns out that you cannot simply rebore the nsr's barrel

its plated so it will need new nikosil :msn1:

stan stephens quote £95 for this so this project is getting costly lol
another piston will be about £30 odd quid

while Im at it I mayswell do a bottom end job tbh... to think spending all that money and putting alot of strain on worn bearings and seals.... no point I think

so that in parts and labour will cost about £150 (new con-rod, seals, mains and labour and gaskets)

does anyone know where I could get my barrel replated cheaper lol?
