A question on video formating problems

    I record a lot of cctv in DAV format and convert it to avi format quite readily and without any problems,

    when I use my in house windows 7 movie maker to convert from avi to movie maker and crop the action, it seems to work for a while but then appears to corrupt and I lose the action in sound and pictures,

    do you know why this is,
