my cbr has been taking ages to start lately even using the choke still takes a few cranks for it to start a garage told me the carb will need cleaning do you think this is right or is it something else
Any chance of a bit more detail about the bike? Model, Age, Miles etc might be useful to know. Carb sounds like a fair guess - never any harm in a carb clean. Get a Haynes Manual and follow the steps. Pay special attention to the bit where they tell you NOT to move the mixture screw - the rest is easy, just undoing things, cleaning them and putting them back.
Honda cbr 125 2005 model 14,183 miles think carb needs adjusting anyway because I put a new plug in a week ago and the bit under the electrode ( the bit of metal that sticks out ) is white so am guessing its burning too hot
most 4 strokes run leaner than you would expect for emissions. But it should be fine because as you saay 4 strokes are much better than 2 strokes and dont go wrong
