The only way to stop it going walkies is to become obsessive and never let it out of your sight ;)

Alarms are great and fit one by all means...but it aint gonna stop anyone throwing your bike in the back of a van and driveing off!!

And before you say it would be chained to a lamp post....15 secs with the bolt croppers sorts all but the very best chains ;)

just make your own alarm, so when you switch it on all the metal parts come live and give the robber a shock :)

they touch anything which is metal (likely) get an electric shock, so they leave it ;)

lol, ye alarms are ok but wont really stop thiefs the only way is to get one of those txt alarm sayin your bike is getting robbed so you can either run kill them or start saving for a new bike

some alarms are so advanced for like £60 you can buy an alarm of cyclone and your keys will start vibrating, if the magnetic field around the bike is disturbed or something

for instance robber pulls out a crowbar near the bike and then they start vibrating

true, alarms are merely just a voice for the vehicle to be heard, but pro's can disalarm most alarms in seconds, i added mine for a bit more peace of mind and good resell value

get an almax though is my advice, nothing manually operated will cut through it, not worth paying a penny for any other bike chain on the market

So the paper-boy can make off with it while your hopping about trying to get yer kecks on.:w00t:

Seriously though a good quality alarm and correct fitting would be money well spent and can help when you come to sell the scoot. I still think remote starting is just a gimmick especially if sometime in the future you are gonna fit a bigger carb with a manual choke.
