    Hi guys
As I said on my very first presentation thread I did a nice little aprillia sport city for the girlfriend
She was riding my kitted kymco cobra and enjoyed the quick bike
I built another kymco agility 125 which she rode for a year and enjoyed to ( I still have this one) in france

I wanted her to have something stable comfortable and capable of covering fairly long distance without any glitch and something highly tuneable

I didn't want a runner we initially thought of an x8 as she needed fairly big underseat compartment and wanted a flatish floor to carry stuff around for her work

So we ended up with an aprillia sport city with the LC leader engine

So for the bits on the bike
    Malossi v4 cylinder head
    Malossi power cam
    Malossi 210 barrel kit
    Malossi variator
    Malossi belt
    Malossi torque converter
    Malossi delta clutch
    Malossi clutch bell
    Malossi gear kit
    Malossi cdi unit
    Malossi ignition coil
Modify air box with Malossi air filter
Standard exhaust manifold with sport can
    It s pretty quick

What about a bigger piston!!! image.jpeg

Is it really that big ?!!

    image.jpg

Yes it is and it s
The cylinder is in aluminium alloy compare to the cast iron cylinder fitted originally

    I hope you enjoyed it

I might end up replacing her crankshaft not because it's gone or going but to be on the safe side

Next upgrade are the electric water pump and control unit I ll take more pictures then

its better to use a slightly rougher surface on the intake, but keep the exhaust and chamber polished, your fuel will mix better with the rough surface, if you ever see a high performance racing head for a V8 you would know what i mean.

I know what you mean that a century long debate
It wasn't only the smoothness which was worked it was the port as well

I was just reading through this post and saw what you did with the ports. My heart nearly skipped a beat.
I have to echo Scuba here.
I'm no fan of polished ports, but as he says, keep the intake side roughed up, not smooth.

Ok so even tho the malossi head is of better design it is still raw cast and machining

What does that mean is you still end up with abrupt step, casting slab and I wasn't happy with the guide boss ( to big for my liking)
If you look closely the port and valve seat area on the second picture you ll understand what I mean

    I smoothed out the throat
    Remove all casting imperfection
Shorten and made the valves guides more smooth too
Made sure the valve seated deep enough in their seat
    Three angle grind
Took measures on the Spring and their compressed length was the same

I am well aware of the rough surface theory air slide faster on air .......
And did see plenty Drag spec head, rally spec head and race spec head (I also worked for a famous M3 tuner back home) and was porting M3 head on monthly basis
Ideally the intake need to be golf ball machined or could do with light sand blasting
Combustion chamber valves and exhaust ports however need to be as smooth as baby s bum to avoid carb deposit to accumulate on it

most nascar and drag heads have machining matks on the intake, sort of "steps " so to speak, drag cars are a special case however, because with them there is a whole lot of pressure and just bucket loads of fuel going through
