Piaggio Engine Lc 2008 - right ive had way to many 50's and 70's kits that have ended in horror, so have decided to go all out on the polini 94cc. I have already rebuilt engine head to toe and have already bored and ported the engine for the 94cc. now i haven't flowed the cases yet and am considering flowing them this time round. But i have read way to many negative comments on flowing cases that makes me think is it worth the risk especially when i have put so much money and time into this final re-build . so please tell me, someone who knows what there talkiing about, whats the low down on flowing cases and is it worth the risk?

i cant port for shit so i cant help there but if youre blowing 50 kits do you full on 94cc race set up is the best idea ? even once you have it flowed and ported right youre still gonna have to upgrade pretty much everything on ur engine...theres lots of work involved even compared to a mid/race 70 set up

LOL?! As above. If you can't get a 50 or 70 kit to run how the hell are you getting the 94 to?

You need to do "flowing" just to get the kit to match the cases and you need them milling to fit. Who the hell would ever say anything negative about flowing cases? That just doesn't make any sense.

wow, i didnt say i couldnt get a 50's 70's running, its jus ive had the bike 3 years and been through a few kits. as you would. with my 70 set up the bike was flying without flowing the cases. now im going big bore i thought i would see if it would be an advantage while running it with the 94cc. and yes i have already changed all parts to high end to suit the kit, like i said i have rebuilt the engine head to toe. i understand the priciples of flowing cases and i know how its done i just dont wanna mess this engine up over flowing a case when its not needed. just asking for advice, thats what the forums for.

If you have already done all the rest of the engine.. why stop there?.. I say "Get in there!!!". Let us know how you get on! :)

Note: 72mph with the SR?... with a 50cc cylinder? o_O

What are the full specs you have/are planning with the 94 then?

You said in your post "ive had way to many 50's and 70's kits that have ended in horror" so your whole post reads like you fucked up plenty before so now you are going to build a 94...

If you ran a 94 or any other high end kit without flowing you would be losing a lot of power. All power quoted on high end kits is with flow work and cylinder matching done.

oh ok fair enough yeah what im ment is that i have got through loads of 50's 70's etc because i got a car and my bike is really just some weekend fun. everytime im on it it gets a thrashing! ending in horror meaning seizing etc plainly just from gettin thrashed and bad weather. i know how to set an engine up dont get me wrong on that! i do loads of private work with no bad feedback!

94kit, 44mm crank, bigevo exhaust all one kit, but you know that, doppler ignition kit, only kit i can find that runs all electrics etc to keep it legal on the road, 28mm flatside, 360 manifold, polini variator 6, dont like 9 roller setup, polini reedblock, evo3clutch, evo2 clutch bell, primary gear up 40%... any other products you would recommend/suggestions?

Not true at all. I've got a BGM 85mm con-rod 44mm stroke just sitting around doing nothing. Any 44mm stroke 85mm conrod is fine.

You do realise that you can even fit these cranks into your engine without milling it out?
