Yo... i'm not posting for help, just sharing this for other people to see the sadness! i've been running an aprilia rx 50 with a malossi 80 big bore kit which i got cheap anyway but with a standard crank, i knew it was going to blow up sometime soon. and it did! Pics show the disaster! the piston & barrel are a write off. old engine out in 10 mins Barrel Piston About 1 hour later, new engine in & running again..but a standard 50
Id have been tempted to try a new piston and rings on the 80 kit and see if it could be saved :blush:
new piston and rings = £65...& that could be wasted if it diddn't work which i seriously doubt it would run again. Plus it would be really under powered and would never run as good as it did i wish it could be saved !
