HELLO CAN ANYONE HELP I GOT A TYPHOON 70CC MALOSSI KIT ON IT WITH A 17.5 DELOROTTO CARB ON IT WITH A 56 JET IN IT AND ITS REALLY HARD TO START AND THERE IS LOADS OFF PETROLL SPITTING OUT THE AIRFILTER AND THE SPARK PLUG IS BLACK RUNNING REALLY RUBISH IT DONT IDEL ATAL SOON AS I LET GO OFF THE THROTTLE THE ENGINE CUTS OUT IVE PUT A 105 JET IN AND IT DID THE SAME AND I PUT A 60 JET IN AND THE BIKE STILL TAKES ABOUT 30 KICKS WITH A BIT OFF THROTTLE TO GET IT RUNNING THEN IT RUNS REALLY RUBISH AND DONT IDEL WHAT CAN I DO WILL IT RUN RUBISH IF I HAVENT GOT THE RIGHT JET IN WOULD THAT MAKE IT RUN ROUGHT AND NOT START IT AND NO IDLE NEED HELP THAN KS
Keep trying different jets mate, sounds like its running very rich. And it might be worth adjusting the mixture too
to me it sounds like a carb problem, dont just try two jets, have a play with a good few and your whole carb may need re setting up, not just the jets. go and buy a crap load of jets around about the size that u need(sorry dont know what it should be at), and either you yourself start re setting the carb or get some one who knows what they are doing.
put around a 67 main jet in. have a play with mixture scree and turn the idle up to try get it running then idleing then adjust acoording to plug and reactions of the bike.
sorry bout the caps lock bois yeah gonna try put a 76 jet in thn work up from there and whats this about changing the clip on the neddle what will that do my carbs running to much petrol for sure thanks alot mate what jet sizes shall i get
check filter is not blocked and air flow is ok. i would say a 67 main. that what i was running with sport bore and 17.5.
yh checked the filter its does the same thing with out the airfilter on but a bit louder will the main jet make it not run and take ages to start up and run stupid
Also get a new spark plug as well...your plug will be fouled up from running rich...which wont help starting up
right got the ped starting and idlesing ok but the carb gets really flooded put a 71 jet in it and it runs betta done about 2 half on the air fule screw once its warm its ok if i leave it for like 5 mins the carbs flodded and tha dam thing takes ages to start but ones warm its fine whats goin on can it be the auto chock need help today plz as selling it tommorow and dont want this to stop the sale thanks
and when i have the bike started the idel screw doesent do a thing its goes in and out put it dosnt rev higher or lower whats with that then thanks
