tried posting in another topic but no help....i have tried rollers from 4.1 gram to 7.5 gram and changing clutch springs and belts.... so i must say it has to be carb or reeds... bike is a 70cc typhoon with malossi crank and pm360 exhaust. the bike is not running good and not revving up the way it should. i have a 21mm delorto carb with a 85 main and i have tried a 90 with no luck...any ideas please....this doesnt make sense...
4 gram rollers were already too light tried moving the throttle body pin clip but havnt cleaned the carb yet....i thought a dirty carb would sputter and jerk but it seems smooth...just not opening up and revving... ill try to spray it out with some cleaner and compressed air...that would be too easy to fix it though hock:
or are you talking about the exhaust pipe being clogged? cause it does sound like the pipe it choking the bike....i tired a stock pipe and it was worse though.... i read a post about cleaning pipes by soaking them with break cleaner... maybe ill give that a try and see what comes out of it./
ok its hard to describe...the bike starts and idles fine...and takes off fine...but then the bike sounds like its stuck on 4,000 rpm even though the throttle is wide open. maybe the pipe is choking it. its not gearing up and revving up how it should. ive tried all the rollers, springs, and blets. so i know it has to be carb or pipe... and ive got good compression
Funny you say that, you have a 70 kit on it too? Since my 70 kit has been put on it mines been doing the same revs up to a certain point (7500rpm) then just makes more noise but mine still accelerates
Try 7.2gram rollers and a Malossi torque spring with tighter clutch springs or PM Tuning/Malossi/Polini clutch
take off you air filter and see if your throttle body is sliding up all the way... right now i have 9 gram rollers in there and it is the best setting ive tried yet...im going to have to try 10 gram....why is it working so good with heavy rollers and less if i try 7.5 or 5.5 grams....wow
yea i guess so....cause with the light ones it wont...but with the heavier ones it gears up alot easier....and its still gearing up more downhill so im thinking they have to be like 10 gram or something....must be my malossi vaiator with this pipe...
im going to try the 10 grams in the morning....my bike is reving alot better with the 9 gram and even reaching top rpms downhill...which it wasnt before....if it reaches top rpm on the straight with 10 grams then i will just tweak the carb to that and let her be
im looking for a new exhaust now....a guy close by sells leo vince pipes....will thats be ok with an all malossi set up? 70cc, crank, variaotr, gear, clutch...all malossi
