It depends on what 70 kit you intend to use, I did for peace of mind with my streetrace cos it revs higher than the other sports kits.

Mate with any 70cc kits u will need a stronger crank with the standard crank It may brake then your 70cc may be fucked

dudes.... in all the years i do this hobby i didn't saw a standard crankshaft broken from a normal 70cc cilinder....
in 99% of the cases your bearings will make noise and the cage will breake ( witch can also couse a lot of damage for sure )

A racing crank is better for 2 things, 1 it can take higher rpm's without getting viberating, and a higher engine pressure down in the carter, but that is something more for high power engines.

Its always the bearings what will break.
WIth a good fuel/air and oil adjustment it won't couse big problems.
maybe on a longer period, but befor u reach that ur bearings are finished already.

I drove myself with a standard crank on a Top performance due+ with hpi and all the shitt on it.
If a standard crank would break, it would have done then ;)

@Tigger87peds, a minarelli crank and piaggio crank is quite a difference.
The piaggio cranks are wayyy stronger than the minarelli's

Think about the fact that a minarelli engine is a 20 year old concept engine without getting any upgreads...
Piaggio did upgread the engine from time to time.
better variomatig and poulies, bigger carburattor etcetc.

That it is better and safer to place a racing crank is true, but if u fuck it up while placing u will drive ur engine in less than 500km to heaven.
    won't take any difference....
